Responsibilities: This individual will manage and execute projects and provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks. They review all documentation prepared by more junior personnel and are responsible for initial drafting of final project reports prior to submission for approval. They prepare work products of high complexity. They assume responsibility for coordination of subordinate activities, monitor project performance and staff relationships, interface with the client on a day-to-day basis, conduct performance reviews of other less experienced staff, and correct errors identified during acceptance process.
Minimum Education/ Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university.
• These individuals shall possess a minimum of three years general financial management and accounting experience. One year of this experience shall consist of performing financial statement audits or audit readiness services within the DoD. One year of general financial management and accounting experience can be substituted with a CPA license.
Demonstrates knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to:
- Federal financial statement auditing
- Internal controls
- Audit liaison
- Financial reporting
- Financial business process reengineering
- Data analytics
