    Responsibilities

    The Sr. Intel Analyst shall analyze domestic and international criminal organizations that use illicit drug proceeds and other criminal activities, to promote financing of terrorism and other specified unlawful activity. Provide analytical support by evaluating all available information associated with major drug trafficking, narco-terrorist, and other organized criminal enterprises. Utilize all available law enforcement systems and tools as well as open source information to proactively research financial crimes activity related to ongoing investigations conducted by various federal law enforcement agencies. Information findings will be disseminated to field investigators via comprehensive intelligence reports. These analytical products aim to provide case coordination information ensuring the greatest disruptive impact on targeted organizations. The information will also be utilized to provide predictive analysis to field agents and analysts that will lead to the identification and seizure of assets from criminal organizations.  The Sr. Intelligence Analyst will coordinate investigative strategy with field investigators targeting the diversion of pharmaceutical controlled substances and listed chemicals.

     

    ANALYTICAL TOOLS: Utilize tools to track money laundering and structuring activities of transnational criminal organizations. Evaluate and/or create techniques, activities, and tools for criminal, money laundering and counterterrorism case analysis. These tools will be available on Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

     

    LINK DISCOVERY: Assess organizations for networks and linkages.  An example of this task includes analyzing what other U.S. agencies, have regarding information, and determine, based on heuristic models, the actionable value added of this information. When appropriate apply social network analysis.

     

    NOVEL TRADECRAFT:  Evaluate and combine tools such as enhanced open source, commercial data, and government data sources to assist in development of lead-based information and identification of assets for possible seizure.

     

    INNOVATIVE ANALYSIS: Perform information development and dissemination; specifically by enabling operators to develop better insights based on the above tools and tradecraft. Also update training, processes, and mentoring approaches based on lessons learned in this role.

     

    Qualifications

    5 Years of experience (prefer 6-8)

    Degree: BS/BA

    Clearance: Secret contractually required

    Location: Merrifield, VA
