    Responsibilities

    Support the Department of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports & Cooperation (DE&C) in creating audit readiness documentation and support for the Army’s foreign military sales (FMS). Create process documentation, identification financial statement risks and internal controls, identification key supporting documentation, and develop/support implementation for corrective action plans.

    Typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education/ Certification

    ·       Bachelor's or Master’s Degree. A major/concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred.

     

    Professional Experience

    ·       Shall possess zero to three years’ of Accounting and/or Financial Management experience.

     

    Responsibilities

    ·       Support the Department of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports & Cooperation (DE&C) in creating audit readiness documentation and support for the Army’s foreign military sales (FMS). Create process documentation, identification financial statement risks and internal controls, identification key supporting documentation, and develop/support implementation for corrective action plans.

    ·       Must be willing to obtain a Secret Clearance.

     

    Knowledge Preferred:

     

    Demonstrates knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to:

     

    - Federal financial statement auditing

    - Internal controls

    - Audit liaison

    - Financial business process reengineering

    - Foreign Military Sales experience.

     

    Skills Preferred:

     

    Demonstrates abilities and success with analyzing detailed finance and accounting processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities, facilitating audit requests and planning and performing tests of controls and balances.

     

    Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; preparing concise, accurate documents.
