Responsibilities

 

  • Must have an active TS/SCI CI Poly in JPAS
  • MUST BE OPEN TO Bethesda, MD (The metro SHUTTLE GOES TO CAMPUS)
  • Conduct SSAE 18 assessments for DFAS service provider systems used in Finance operations to determine ability to rely on service provider controls, identify and document any compensating controls, provide recommendations to resolve identified issues, and maintain procedures for performing such reviews.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a strategy to resolve identified issues found in conducting SSAE 18 reviews to meet IT requirements for DFAS specific systems used in financial operations.
  • Meet with offices with responsibility for systems architecture, controls and overall systems management.
  • Maintain a system taxonomy to identify and document primary and secondary financial systems.
  • Maintain a supporting document repository for IT audit artifacts.
  • Complete an IT POC structure to support audit requests.
  • Conduct testing and documenting conclusions related to ICOFS -- compliance with FMFIA section 4 and FFMIA section 803(a) requirements (e.g. USSGL compliance and system requirements).
  • Complete steps documented in the MCAP for identified IT issues.
  • Submit quarterly progress against the MCAP to the FM management 

Qualifications

 

Required:  

·         Bachelor’s degree in a finance, business management, accounting, or equivalent work experience.

·         Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

·         Demonstrated specialized experience in a federal financial management functions such as an accountant, systems auditor, or financial system analyst.

·         Demonstrated specialized experience conducting reviews of service provider Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements Number 18 (SSAE 18) assessments in support of financial statement audit.

Desired:  

·         Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) certified.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of Momentum Financials. 

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting IT audits or reviews (e.g. Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)).
