Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. Leverage advanced knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematical techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Develop and lead studies built around simulation framework, including STORM and AFSIM. Work with other Air Force organizations to access and modify theater campaign scenarios. Work with intelligence community to ensure adversary capabilities are adequately modeled. Task team members to perform study-related tasks and run simulations and wargaming scenarios. Build data sets, analyze results, prepare plans and reports, and interact across the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC) to ensure appropriate level support to other divisions.
Required: Master’s degree. 10 years of related experience.
Security Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
- Knowledge of Air Force strategies, warfighting capabilities and organizations
- Experience working with Air Force M&S applications and models, such as Synthetic Theater Operations Research Model (STORM) or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM)
